Jose Javier has successfully raised working conditions and wages for working families; helped level the playing field for struggling small business owners; kept state and local governments from trampling on the rights of regular people; and enabled homeowners to keep their homes.

Talking with neighbors, the conversation is usually about jobs, schools, owning a home or how the neighborhood is doing. Recently one of my neighbors surprised me. I asked her what was most important to her. Her answer? The fact that no one running for office had ever knocked on her door before.
